Carson City road report for Aug. 20-26

The following information applies to the period of Aug. 20-26:

Work will continue on the Downtown Curry Streetscape Project. For details regarding traffic impacts as a result of the project, refer to http://www.carsonproud.com/ for more information. This source will be updated weekly throughout the duration of the project.

Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

Fairview Drive will be closed between Saliman Road and Lompa Lane Sunday-Monday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please follow detour.

Interchange of Fairview Drive and I-580 will be closed Sunday-Monday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please follow detour.

Silver Sage Drive will be closed between Clearview Drive and Roland Street for all hours Monday-Sunday. Access will be open to residents on Silver Sage Drive.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:

Ormsby Boulevard will be reduced to one lane between Dartmouth Drive and College Parkway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Long Street will have reduced lanes between Mountain Street and Ormsby Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.

Koontz Lane will have reduced lanes between South Carson and Curry streets from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Special Events

The Levitt Concert Series will close King Street between Division and Thompson streets from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.

The Inaugural Music Festival for Heroes will close the intersection of Adams Street and Curry Street from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.
