Panther families visited Pioneer High School on Back to School Night on Sept. 18 to visit the campus, discuss curriculum and learning goals with teachers, and see construction progress.
Helen Keller’s words still ring true today: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
A school working in isolation is much less effective than a school working as a partnership with the community.
Community partnership was evident at Pioneer High School’s Back to School Night held on Sept. 18.
Students, parents, and community leaders came out to support the event. Approximately 29 percent of our Panther families were able to visit the campus, discuss curriculum and learning goals with teachers, and see construction progress first-hand.
In addition to classroom visits, guests were served hot dogs and other snacks by staff volunteers.
Building partnerships with families is definitely a great way to start a new school year.
The staff at PHS would like to thank all the families who took the time to visit the campus.
A special thank you is also extended to Superintendent Richard Stokes and Carson City School Board Vice President Stacie Wilke-McCulloch for attending the event.
The 2018-2019 school year is looking bright already.
