Ford ready to challenge national emergency declaration

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford on Thursday stated his office is ready to file a legal challenge on behalf of Nevada if necessary against the possibility President Donald Trump declares a national emergency to provide funding for a border wall:

Ford issued the following statement: “After weeks of a political impasse over his border wall, President Trump is hoping to sidestep any opposition to his funding plans by declaring a state of emergency. Our office will work with Nevada’s federal delegation and, should Nevada’s federal funds be depleted or harmed in any way by this latest effort, the Trump administration should be prepared for a legal challenge from my office.”
