Lyon County Sheriff’s Office seeks stabbing suspect

At approximately 11:40 p.m. Feb. 14, one female and one male victim were stabbed with a knife by a male suspect after an argument in the parking lot of Slidin’ Clyde’s bar in Stagecoach. Both victims are in stable condition after they were transported to a local hospital.

The suspect, identified as Michael Gettis, left the area on foot. He is a 33-year-old white male and described as approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He has a shaved head with a short stubble beard.

Gettis is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for Gettis. Anyone who has any information is asked to call the LCSO at 775-463-6600 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
