Registered investment advisory firm TCI Wealth Advisors, which has a branch in Reno, is one of nearly 40 companies and organizations to receive a 2021 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award.
It marks the second consecutive year TCI Wealth Advisors was named a winner, according to a March 24 press release from the Tuscon, Arizona-based firm.
“In 2020, organizational cultures saw historic threats. It took an exceptional amount of resilience for organizations, and their employees, to make it through,” Jim Harter, Gallup’s chief scientist of workplace management and wellbeing, said in a statement. “The abundance of well-managed and highly inspired teams inside Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award-winning organizations puts them in a particularly strong position to adapt quickly to meet the needs of their customers and patients.”
According to the release, the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winners’ ratio of engaged employees to actively disengaged employees is 14 times higher than the international average.
“Worldwide, only 22% of employees are engaged — that is, committed to their work and connected to their workplace — and just 39% of employees in the U.S. workforce are engaged,” according to the release. “Seventy-three percent of employees at winning Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award organizations are engaged.”According to the press release. Gallup’s analysis for the 2021 awards was “the most comprehensive workplace study ever conducted, with data on more than 2 million employees in 276 organizations across 54 industries and 96 countries.”

Aside from Tuscon and Reno, TCI Wealth Advisors also has locations in Scottsdale and Flagstaff in Arizona, and one in Denver.
