People: Gayle Halminiak, Jennie Parker promoted to leadership roles at UNR Med

Gayle Halminiak and Jennie Parker recently accepted leadership positions with University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) and University Health.


In her new role as UNR Med Senior Director of Administration and Finance, Halminiak will administer activities, budgets and personnel for all clinical departments; develop and implement administrative policies across UNR Med; and provide senior leadership and support in collaborations with community partners in developing new programs, according to a Feb. 2 statement.

Halminiak has been with UNR Med for over seven years, most recently serving as director of operations and administration for internal medicine, pediatrics and neurology. She has extensive experience in financial management, practice administration and human resources, and brings outstanding commitment and energy to her work.

As University Health Director of Clinical Operations and Shared Services, Parker will direct comprehensive clinical operations across all University Health clinics; oversee the transition of clinics to UNR’s Moana Lane facility; and provide senior leadership and support in collaborations with Renown Health and other partners.


Parker has been with University Health for over 18 years, serving most recently as practice administrator for internal medicine and director of shared services. She has extensive experience in front and back office clinic operations, process improvement and patient services, and brings remarkable passion and determination to her work.
