The law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, known as Gordon & Rees, announced July 7 the opening of its first Reno branch.
The office at 201 W. Liberty St. Suite will be anchored by partner Stephen S. Kent, who recently joined Gordon & Rees from Kent Law.
Kent is a veteran trial lawyer with more than 40 years’ experience in Reno, Las Vegas, and rural Nevada, according to a July 7 press release from Gordon & Rees.
He has been a Certified Civil Trial Advocate with the National Board of Trial Advocacy for more than 20 years and has also handled many appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court.
"We are pleased to have Stephen and his team join Gordon & Rees and establish a presence in Northern Nevada, which has become a leading destination for multinational businesses including many of the firm's clients," Robert Schumacher, managing partner of the firm's Las Vegas office, said in a statement. "We look forward to working with Stephen to further assist the legal needs of Nevada."
The Reno office is the 71st for Gordon & Rees, according to the company, which bills itself as being the only law firm with offices and attorneys in all 50 states.
“My team and I are very excited to join Gordon & Rees as it gives us more resources, both in the number of attorneys to help our clients, and also the technology to improve efficiency and service,” Kent said in a statement.
