Microsoft Reno, BluePeak Technology partner for 13th IT Makeover Campaign

Applications are being accepted for the 13th annual IT Makeover Campaign, a joint community project between Microsoft Reno and BluePeak Technology Solutions in which each provide $10,000 ($20,000 total) worth of technology enhancements and upgrades to local nonprofits.

Recipients are selected from an application pool throughout Northern Nevada, according to a Geb. 16 press release, and utilize funding for Microsoft products and services, as well as technical consulting, implementation services and IT management supplied by BluePeak.

“We are very proud of the long-lasting legacy and impact of the IT Makeover Campaign,” Maureen McKinney, general manager of operations and Reno site lead for Microsoft. “This program continues to deeply support and transform nonprofit organizations and the services they provide to our community in Northern Nevada.”

Eligible nonprofits interested in applying must submit an online application by Friday, April 16.

A committee made up of BluePeak Technology Solutions and Microsoft employees review applications and identify which organizations will receive funding based upon need and goals for “how improved technology solutions will help the organization’s mission and provide benefits to the community,” according to the release.

The companies will host a Nonprofit Tech Q&A session on April 2 at 2: p.m. to provide nonprofits with more information on the campaign and guidance.

Visit bluepeak.io/itmakeover2021 to view nonprofit eligibility requirements and to access the online application. Recipients will be notified in May, followed by a formal media announcement in June.

Over the past 12 years, a total of $270,000 has been awarded to more than 30 local nonprofit recipients via the IT Makeover Campaign.
