The Red Chickz, a new Los Angeles-based eatery that serves Nashville-inspired hot chicken, is looking to expand across the west, including franchise opportunities in the Reno market.

With one location in Downtown Los Angeles and another expected to open this fall in Culver City, the brand plans to add 40 more locations in California, 25 locations in Texas, 10 in Nevada, and 10 in Arizona within the next 18 months, according to a Sept. 29 press release.

“Our first location in Downtown Los Angeles has done remarkably well since opening in 2018 and we are confident that we will be just as successful in more places,” Shawn Lalehzarian, founder of The Red Chickz, said in a statement.

Per the release, the fast-casual brand puts a West Coast spin on Nashville hot chicken by offering sandwiches in six different spice levels, as well as more unconventional items like hot chicken and French toast.

The initial investment necessary to open a location ranges between $364,000 and $821,000, according to the release.
