People: Mark Salinas joins Art Views at PBS Reno

PBS Reno is thrilled to welcome Mark Salinas to its team of columnists for Art Views, the weekly online publication exclusive that aims to inform the community of important arts-related events and of important local figures who make the region’s arts and culture scene diverse.

Salinas is a Reno-based public arts administrator and is the senior project manager at Forecast Public Art. He is also the curator of The First Lady Presents, the online arts education initiative that compares contemporary Nevada-based artists, often from underrepresented communities and varied cultural backgrounds, with artifacts from the collection of the Nevada State Museum in Carson City. Salinas is also the former founding director of Arts & Culture for Carson City.
