People: Faith Whittier named chief medical officer at Northern Nevada HOPES

Northern Nevada HOPES has announced that Faith Whittier will assume the position of chief medical officer.

Whittier comes to HOPES after serving as the O.B. medical director at Avenue 360 Health and Wellness in Houston.

As chief medical officer, Whittier will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of all HOPES medical care programs while ensuring the agency’s mission of patient-centered and integrated healthcare be provided with dignity to our disenfranchised and underserved community members.

Whittier’s leadership will be critical to HOPES’ leadership structure as the agency looks to expand in the future. Whittier is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

She completed her undergraduate studies at UC San Diego and later received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Whittier completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Joseph hospital in Houston.
