People: Teela McCullar named managing director of Barnard Vogler & Co.

Barnard Vogler & Co. has announced Teela McCullar has been named managing director.

With more than 17 years of experience, McCullar has shown tremendous leadership and success in her field. She joined the firm in 2005 and became a director in 2014.

In 2016, McCullar became the youngest shareholder in the history of the firm. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and her master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Nevada, Reno.

McCullar is a graduate of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Leadership Academy and the Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Leadership Reno-Sparks program.

McCullar is dedicated to giving back to the community. She serves as chair of the City of Reno’s Financial Advisory Board, treasurer of Sierra Emergency Medical Services Alliance and is on the audit committee of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada.

She also serves as a committee member on AICPA Tax Practice Management Committee. Her prior service includes chair of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants and various AICPA committees.
