SB Builders LLC (formerly Shaheen Beauchamp Builders) recently broke ground on a new Centro Market location at 3312 Highway 50 East in Carson City, the builder announced in a Jan. 13 news release.
“The new 23,160-square-foot grocery store aims to elevate the shopping experience for customers with an upgraded layout, outdoor dining space, and improved parking. The project broke ground in November 2024 and is expected to be completed by fall 2025,” the release said.
The new market will replace the existing store at 2974 Highway 50 East and “incorporate mission revival style architectural elements.”
“Owners Herbert Muro and Armando Valencia are investing an estimated $5 million into the project to provide a modernized and accessible space for the community. Additionally, the Centro Market’s taqueria will boast a blend of indoor and outdoor dining space for customers to enjoy,” the release said.
“We are proud to bring this vision to life for Centro Market and to contribute to the growth and improvement of local businesses in Carson City,” said Patrick Beauchamp, co-owner and chief operations officer for SB Builders. “This project builds on our commitment to quality craftsmanship, attention to detail and a superlative process for our clients.”
Founded in 1998, SB Builders’ portfolio includes recent completion of the Tahoe Nugget in Stateline, the Advocates to End Domestic Violence facility in Carson City and the Carson Medical Group building in Carson City.
