PBS Reno welcomes Firdnito White to the role of traffic assistant.

White most recently served as master control operator at KVEW/KAPP in Washington, where he observed and maintained the signals of multiple channels while fulfilling station obligations to clients by screening and logging the airtime of interstitial material.

White would also import future playlists to ensure no material was missing. Additionally, he brings experience in broadcast production, having filmed the Tacoma Rainiers and Tacoma Defiance and deployed graphics as a video board operator.

White is a graduate of Bates Technical College and Columbia Basin College, where he earned his Associate of Applied Sciences in broadcast and video production and Associate of Applied Sciences in cybersecurity, respectively.

As traffic assistant, White joins the team responsible for inputting and maintaining the monthly program schedule and daily production of broadcast logs for PBS Reno channel 5.1, Reno Create channel 5.2, and PBS KIDS on PBS Reno channel 5.3.
