Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology has named Ira M. Gostin as the new president and CEO.
As a former board member of NCET, Gostin brings his institutional knowledge and extensive background in investor relations, marketing and corporate communications to lead NCET’s programs and events.
“I have long been a supporter and advocate for NCET and am honored to serve as the incoming president and CEO,” Gostin said. “We are currently in a pivotal moment for technological innovation and economic development in Nevada, and I’m excited to guide NCET toward the future.”
Gostin most recently oversaw the mining practice for a multinational advisory firm in New York City and contributed to the founding of Tahoe Resources, a global mining company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and headquartered in Reno. Throughout his two-decade career, he has worked on more than $2 billion in equity raises and won numerous national awards for his strategy and investor relations programs.
In 2018, he was named the Most Influential Marketing Executive in Nevada by Acquisitions International and was named the top Chief Marketing Officer in the Western U.S. by Corporate Vision Magazine in 2017. Gostin also was the lead producer for RenoStartup Week in 2023, which won the American Marketing Association’s event of the year in Northern Nevada.
Former President and CEO of NCET Sarah Johns will be joining KTVN on June 2 in a new role soon to be announced.
“We are very excited to have Sarah join KTVN to help lead our efforts in expanding the station’s local programming,” said KTVN President and General Manager Andrew Perini. “Stay tuned for more details.”
Gostin officially began his tenure in April.
