A2N2 to honor Reno adman
The Advertising Association of Northern Nevada this month will honor Scott Mortimore of Mortimore Creative as recipient of its Thomas C.
Wilson Award for lifetime achievement and excellence in advertising.
Mortimore has more than 25 years of advertising writing experience, working on accounts as varied as a vintage car collection, the Alaska pipeline, and local hospitals and casinos.
He also has worked pro bono for clients such as The Lear Theatre, Sierra Arts Foundation, and The Red Cross.
The Ad Person of the Year is the 2003 National Student Advertising Competition Team from University of Nevada, Reno.
The team is honored because the students won the national championship for the campaign they designed for client Toyota Matrix.
The Promotion Person/Group Award will be presented to Steven High and the Nevada Museum of Art for helping Reno broaden its cultural appeal.
Tiffany Frisch, owner of PR Concepts, is the recipient of Community Contribution Award for helping the Reno chapter of the American Heart Association.
The awards ceremony and luncheon will be held on June 17 at Harrah’s in Reno from 11:30 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
For Reno’s Marc Magarin, finding opportunities to collaborate with fellow creative thinkers and passionate entrepreneurs is what drew him into a coworking space.
