Carson Valley business showcase set
The seventh annual Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
More than 80 businesses will display their products and services at the free show, which is open to consumers. For the first time this year, a business-to-business session open only to members of the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Authority will run from 2-3 p.m.
People who attend will select a “People’s Choice” best booth based on design and interaction with attendees.
The event developed by the chamber of commerce is hosted by Greater Nevada Union and Pro Group Management.
The introductory 80-hour program — announced in May as one solution to Nevada’s oft-lamented skilled labor shortages — is designed to train people in construction, building maintenance and related trades.
