City seeks bids from vendors for Rink on River
Vendors are sought to operate food and other concessions at the Rink on the River in downtown Reno.
The City of Reno said last week it’s seeking bids from private and public entities.
The concessions would need to be established at the downtown rink no later than Nov. 6. The facility typically is open from a day or two before Thanksgiving through the first Sunday in February.
The rink at First and Virginia streets drew 29,147 visitors last year, the city said.
The city said last week it will accept submittals until 10 a.m. Oct. 18. For instructions and requirements, see http://www.reno.gov under “Featured News.”
“We’re seeing indications that Nevada consumers are feeling the financial effects of the pandemic more than the national average and are beginning to tighten their household budgets,” says Bryan Wachter, Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs of RAN.
