Civil engineering chapter honors
The Truckee Meadows Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers has recognized top projects and professionals.
The award for outstanding transportation project of the year went to Eastern Sierra Engineering and the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County for the Sutro Street project.
The award for outstanding structural project of the year went to CH2MHill, the RTC, the Nevada Department of Transportation and the City of Reno for the I-580 Meadowood complex improvements.
Outstanding environmental project of the year went to Shaw Engineering and the City of Fallon for the Dairy Farmers of America lift station and wastewater reclamation facility improvements.
Dan Stucky from Atkins was recognized as Young Engineer of the Year.
George Jordy from Atkins was recognized as Engineer of the Year.

“It’s kind of hard. This is happening nationwide,” a critical care nurse who works at Renown Health told The Nevada Independent. “This isn’t just a Renown issue. Nationwide, nurses and providers are being forced into these situations where they have to choose if they’re going to take care of this patient or if they’re going to walk away.”
