Conference on basic industries postponed
The Nevada Basic Industry Conference scheduled this week in Reno has been postponed.
Conference organizer Tom Harris, director of the University of Nevada, Reno, Center for Economic Development, said no new date has been set for the conference, which will focus on mining, gaming, agriculture and banking.
The conference originally set for this Tuesday and Wednesday was postponed, Harris said, because of a number of last-minute cancellations.
After expanding to the North Valleys in 2018, Crystal Creek Logistics is looking to grow to a new home at least twice the size of its current 35,000 sq. ft. location; the expansion would create another 55 jobs, bringing its total local workforce to about 100 employees.
