EDAWN recognizes growing firms
Noble Studios of Reno and ITS Logistics of Reno were honored last week as Companies of the Year in the Existing Industry Awards sponsored by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.
ITS Logistics was recognized among large companies in the region, while Noble Studios was recognized among smaller companies.
The awards, now in their second year, recognize existing companies that bring fresh dollars into the region’s economy. Companies are eligible if more than half their revenues are generated from outside the area.
Other companies receiving Existing Industry Awards included:
Capital investment: Pestmaster Services of Reno (small company) and the Zulily distribution center at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (large company).
Leader in Sustainability: Apropos International of Reno (small company) and Ormat Technologies Inc. of Reno (large company).
We Think Local (use of local vendors): Tedesco Pacific Construction Inc. of Sparks (small company) and Jensen Precast of Sparks (large company).
Corporate Citizen: Dermody Properties of Reno (small company) and International Game Technology of Reno (large company)
Community Partner Award: Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency.
Biggest Little Wow! (surprising or unusual product): Digital Solid State Propulsion of Reno.
