Existing Industry Awards open
The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada has opened nominations for its third annual Existing Industry Awards.
The competition recognizes primary companies — those that generate a majority of their revenue from outside the region. Eligible companies are located in Washoe County, Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center and the City of Fernley.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to support existing companies who employ local Nevadans, and who make significant contributions to the economic vitality of the region and the community each and every day,” said Mike Kazmierski, president and chief executive officer of EDAWN.
The nomination deadline is August 22. For awards categories and criteria, see http://www.edawn.org.
The award event is scheduled for Oct. 14 at The Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
