Hangar project completed at Tahoe airport
An 5,000-square-foot aviation hangar at Lake Tahoe Airport has been completed, replacing a structure destroyed by snowfall last winter.
Mountain West Aviation will operate the $800,000 facility. It replaces a 4,400-square-foot hangar destroyed by snow.
Development Resource Management Group LLC of Reno worked as owner’s representative on the project, representing both the aviation company and Travelers insurance.
The owners representation contract included obtaining entitlements, permits, soils investigation, hiring the architect, civil engineers as well as seeking bids from four contractors.
The airport is about three miles southwest of South Lake Tahoe.
