Ichiban moves into Harrah’s
The move of Ichiban Japanese Steak House and Sushi from its North Sierra Street location to Harrah’s Reno is scheduled for the first weekend in July.
The restaurant will be located in renovated space previously occupied by The Virg, a nightclub at Harrah’s.When it moves to the casino, Ichiban will close the North Sierra location.
Kurt Wong, director of food and beverage at Harrah’s Reno, said the restaurant, which has been operating in Reno for 25 years,will be open for lunch in addition to its traditional dinner hours.
Harrah’s also is home to a new Starbucks location in its West Tower, the first Starbucks outlet to be opened in a downtown Reno hotel-casino.
“The thing that I like most about entrepreneurship is I can work toward something that I’m passionate about and be at the forefront of the change that I want to see happen,” said Priyanka Senthil, a senior at Davidson Academy in Reno and co-founder of startup company AUesome.
