John Ascuaga’s Nugget employees
Juan Martinez and Don Apodaca have been hired by John Ascuaga’s Nugget, while Jeff Stockton and Marty Heinz have been promoted by the hotel-casino.
Martinez, who has named executive housekeeper, has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. He previously worked at MasterCorp, a company that provided housekeeping services for high-end residents at the Old Greenwood Resort in Truckee.
He previously worked for the Nugget beginning in 1987.
Apodaca was hired as executive director of facilities.
He was previously the director of facilities at the Grand Sierra Resort, where he worked more than 30 years.
Stockton was promoted to chief engineer.
Stockton began his career at the Nugget 12 years ago as a senior engineer.
Heinz has been promoted to day shift manager.
Heinz was previously a lead engineer. He has been with the Nugget for 16 years.
