Mustang Geothermal shifts focus
Mustang Geothermal Corp. of Reno has changed its name again.
The publicly held company now will be known as Dakota Territory Resource Corp. as it shifts its focus to exploration of a 1,600-acre gold prospect in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The company had operated as Mustang Geothermal since 2010 and had acquired potential geothermal assets in Nevada and Peru.
From mid-2006 to mid-2010, the company operated as Urex Energy Corp. and was involved exploration of uranium properties. It was launched in 2002 as Lakefield Ventures Inc.
The company’s stock is thinly traded at 1 cent a share.
“I point out many cases of where privately owned companies do just as bad a job as publicly owned companies,” says Reno resident and former teacher Robert (R.D.) Gardner.
