Name change ahead for downtown pizza shop
A downtown Reno pizza restaurant is changing its name in response to the arrival in the United States of a much-larger Australian company with a similar name.
Pie Face Pizza Co., owned by Trevor Leppek and Ryan Goldhammer, will change its name to PFPCo.’s Noble Pie Parlor on August 1. The change, Leppek said, comes with the arrival in the United States of stores franchised by Australia’s Pie Face, a bakery cafe chain.
The Reno store is at 239 W. Second St. in the El Cortez Hotel building.
Jacob Warwick, CEO of Discover Podium, says the company that launched only a year ago in Reno recently surpassed $1 million in revenue and has big plans for growth in the coming months.
