Neuroscience symposium set
About 100 medical professionals are expected to attend a neurosciences symposium in Reno Jan.
Neurosciences Symposium 2004, an inaugural event, is hosted by the Washoe Institute for Neurosciences.
It’s funded by the Washoe Medical Foundation, Herb and Maxine Jacobs through their Jacobs Family Foundation and sponsors MedPointe Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi Synthelabo.
Keynote speaker will be Barb Bancroft, a registered nurse, author and executive director of CPP Associates, Inc., a continuing education firm for health care professionals based in Chicago.
Other clinical leaders from the region will speak about the latest in care and technologies to treat patients with neurological disorders.
The event is designed for nurses as well as other health-care professionals such as physical, occupational and speech therapist, pharmacists and respiratory therapists.
Officials with Fuentes Restaurant and Cantina, Axle Crossfit, Gather, Loved Momma Fitness, Rowdy Bar and Silver Strike Crossfit discuss challenges — and opportunities — due to the pandemic.
