New Web site targets newcomers
NewToReno.com, a Web site designed for new residents, has been launched by Stan White.
White, who also operates a professional photography business in Reno, said the Web site provides links to public resources ranging from city and county governments to schools and public safety agencies.
Another section of the site provides information about special events such as the Great Reno Balloon Race and details about other recreational opportunities.
“The new Web portal was created to consolidate the information new residents need to successfully move in and become part of the community,”White said.
The site provides free basic listings for businesses, but White said expanded listings including banner ads and links to businesses’Web sites are for sale.
Those advertising programs run from $200 to $500 a year.
Newtoreno.com also includes links to business organizations and chambers of commerce as well as a business-to-business section.
