Restaurant management in focus as city, UNR launch workshops
The initial session of a new monthly workshop series in Reno will focus on helping startup restaurants survive.
Taught by Mark Estee, a restaurant owner and chef whose properties include Campo in Reno, the free 90-minute session is set for 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 10 at Reno City Hall.
It’s first in a collaborative series dubbed “Assess, License and Launch.” The series is sponsored by the City of Reno and two University of Nevada, Reno, College of Business outreach centers — the Nevada Small Business Development Center and the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship.
Each month, a new industry will be identified as the focus, and industry experts will join with city officials to provide information and advice.
Registration is required through the Nevada SBDC’s training calendar at http://www.NevadaSBDC.org or by calling 775-784-1717.
