Small-business lender opens in Reno
VEDC, a nonprofit lender to small businesses, has opened an office in Reno to make small business loans of $50,000 to $200,000.
Chris Fream, a veteran banker, has been named business development officer for VEDC in Reno.
The national organization said it plans to make more than $3 million in loans from the Reno office located at 1 East First St.
Fream, a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, has worked for the United Federal Credit Union, Wells Fargo and Sterling Savings Bank.
