State board disciplines three contractors
Three northern Nevada contractors have been disciplined by the State Contractors Board.
The license of Classic Fence Co. of Minden was revoked, the company was fined $2,850, and it was ordered to pay $4,234 in restitution to a homeowner as well as investigative costs.
The board found that Classic Fence completed substandard work, failed to correct it and violated several other regulations.
Dayton Valley Floral & Nursery of Dayton was fined $1,500 and ordered to pay investigative costs.
The board said company failed to comply with the terms of a contract and failed to correct its work.
Corbett Construction of Sparks was fined $3,100 and investigative costs and will be required to file a current financial statement with the state.
The contractors board found that the firm completed substandard work and violated several other regulations.
“I point out many cases of where privately owned companies do just as bad a job as publicly owned companies,” says Reno resident and former teacher Robert (R.D.) Gardner.
