Thoran Towler has been named Nevada Labor Commissioner.
Towler, who will be based in Carson City, was most recently a deputy attorney general for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. He also has worked as a deputy district attorney in Carson City, as a litigation associate in the employment law group for Jones Vargas and as a law clerk for the Fourth Judicial District Court in Elko.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in technology from Walla Walla College and earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law.
Heather Ashbridge, who started with Nevada State Development Corporation in 2008, previously served in several roles with the organization, including assistant vice president and loan officer. She is based in NSDC’s Reno office.
