Nevada Supreme Court: Journalism shield laws apply to digital media, too

Storey County businessman Lance Gilman had previously sued Sam Toll, owner of The Storey Teller blog, for defamation and demanded Toll reveal his sources. On Thursday, the Nevada Supreme Court ruled 7-0 that Toll and his blog are protected by the state's journalism shield law — and as such, his sources should remain protected.
