The Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada has ancestral lands that encompass a large area of the Sierra. Three tribal colonies are located in Nevada - Dresslerville, Carson and Stewart. In addition, the Hung a Lel-ti colony is located near Woodfords in Alpine County, Calif.
