On Nov. 16, Northern Nevada high school girls learned from local women surgeons, physicians and engineers at UNR Med during The Perry Initiative outreach program, a national non-profit working to recruit women into orthopedic surgery and engineering careers.
UNR Med, in partnership with the Reno Orthopedic Clinic (ROC) Foundation and The Perry Initiative, co-hosted a day where local high school girls received hands-on training from female surgeons, physicians and engineers.
