Senior living company wades through COVID cost impacts as new Reno location opens

As of August, 55% of assisted living facilities and nursing homes in the U.S. are operating at a loss, and 89% are operating a profit margin of 3% or less. One business that's seeking to avoid profit compression is Mission Senior Living, which operates four communities in Northern Nevada, including the newest location that opened this week in South Reno.
