Carson woman arrested for allegedly selling meth

A 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly selling methamphetamine.

According to police documents, officers responded to the 300 block of N. Stewart St. at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a female named "Cindy O.," selling drugs.

Deputies found Cindy Oremus in an apartment and asked if they could come inside. In their report, officers said that once inside the home, they noticed two propane torches and could smell "freshly burnt meth."

When asked if she would consent to a search, Oremus agreed and officers allegedly found 15.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine in her purse. They also found drug paraphernalia, scales and plastic baggies.

Oremus was arrested and charged with methamphetamine trafficking, possession of meth for sale, simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is in the Carson City Jail on $51,105 bail.
