The September meeting of the Douglas County Republican Women will be held Sept. 6 at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.
September's speaker will be State Senator Mark Amodei, who will discuss the effect reapportionment may have on Northern Nevada.
A social hour will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a buffet lunch. The cost is $12 if reservations are made before noon on Sept. 4 or $15 if made after.
The public is invited. Attendees may also register to vote in the general election at this meeting.
