Nancy Flagg was appointed Thursday as the deputy to the chancellor for the University and Community College System of Nevada.
Flagg will be a member of the chancellor's senior management team and will serve as coordinator for all system projects working with Chancellor Jane Nichols.
Flagg is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and began her career as the university's publications manager in 1980. In 1986, she served as the special assistant tot he provost before moving to her present position in the president's office in 1998.
"I'm delighted to have such a talented and creative individual as Nancy to join my staff," Nichols said. "She has earned the respect of the higher education community and I look forward to working with her to advance our mission."
