Gov. Kenny Guinn will present five individuals and three organizations with the annual Governor's Awards in the Arts & Humanities at a Nov. 4 ceremony.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Jot Travis Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno.
The winners were selected from a list of 57 nominees.
The individual winners are Bill Cowee of Dayton, Dave Hickey of Las Vegas, Toni Lowden of Reno, and Harriet and Bill Barkley of Fallon. The organizations honored are Elko Basque Club of Elko, ARTown of Reno and the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno.
