Letter: One way to get her letters to right people

Two articles in the July 7 Appeal really caught my attention on this bypass of the freeway and the path. At first it was a bike path. Now it only a path. OK. From what I read it seems the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Already the first phase, according to the news item here, a source said, the funding will probably be increased from $92 million to $136 million. Then the state denies cost is an issue. So if we start out with the so-called path costing a mere $3.4 million, will that be increased? Wanna bet? One big question I have on that path thing is: Is the maintenance cost included in the scheme of things?

From what I gathered, Gov. Guinn said he knew of no funding plans to cause delays. The paper comes out with a super heading: Bypass delayed nine months. Wow. So what is going on?

A few weeks ago I wrote four letters to Gov. Guinn; no answer. Attorney General Del Papa; she at least had someone in her office send me an answer (she didn't even rubber stamp her name), to the state transportation office and to the mayor. Of the latter two, they were undelivered twice. I managed to get into the inner sanctum to see the postmaster, which took a couple of days of calling around town, as it seemed no one knew his name or his phone number. So are these public servants the untouchables?

Evidently these elected untouchables do not want any input from the public. That is my summation.

I have to resort to this paper, the Nevada Appeal, to get my letters delivered. How about that?
