Letter: Poll workers help with early voting

I'm taking this opportunity to say thanks to each of the personnel at our early voting place on Monday, Oct. 23.

I was having a particularly bad day as far as my breathing was concerned. I had my cart with oxygen and purse, and once inside, sat down to rest. I was asked by the lady collecting ballots after voting if I needed assistance, and I said yes. She then contacted one of the ladies helping others.

She took my sample pamphlet, got my ballot and gave it to me to vote at the special booth set up for handicapped/physically challenged voters. The lady waited for me to vote, then gave the ballot to the lady collecting them. I asked if I could sit for a minute to ease my breathing. She said OK.

I think the placing of a special booth for voters with various problems is the greatest.

Each of the personnel working the polling place deserves a vote of thanks from each citizen of this city and mine in particular.
