Enough already!
What can be done about these either rather ignorant or extremely inconsiderate people and their car stereos? Don't get me wrong, I love music; I like my music cranked up too; but come on! With these really low-end basses in a small car vibrating noise, the only place it has to go is out. And it bounces off everything around it, including rattling windows and anything else glass in my mobile home, and even affects homes a block over. We're talking 24 hours a day to boot.
I saw a special on TV about a judge in Texas that would have these inconsiderates ticketed and had to attend a "hearing." They would spend a couple of hours in a room with the music of the judge's choice cranked up (i.e. opera, country, jazz, etc.). The judge has never had any repeat offenders, just people with a new respect and awareness that not everyone wants to hear their music. What say we give this a try?
