Winners of the Harry Potter look alike contest at Kennedy's Books in Carson City Saturday are 10-year-old Alora Collier and 11 year old Kiona Roath, both of Carson City.
Sponsored by the Nevada Appeal and Kennedy's Books, the "Enchanted Garden Party" kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday with pumpkin cider and other tasty goodies. The afternoon's highlights included a trivia contest and the now famous (Harry Potter) look alike contest.
A portion of the money from the sale of Harry Potter books from July 10 -15 went directly to the Newspapers in Education program, which supports children throughout Carson, Douglas, Lyon, Storey and Washoe Counties. Over $400 was raised for the program.
