A memorial service for Cheri Ann Martinez, 48, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, was held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mrs. Martinez died Oct. 21, 2000, at UCSF in San Francisco, Calif. She was born Oct. 6, 1952, in Fremont, Calif. to Neil and Ida Crooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Gloria Prizs Jan. 26, 1997.
Among her survivors are her son Sal Martinez of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters Ida Martinez and Julie Asbury, both of Carson City; sisters Dodi Jorden of Kona, Hawaii, Kristina Crum of Carson City, Jackie Crooks of Tijuana, Mexico and Rebel and Gina Crooks of Carson City; brother, Danny Crooks of Boise, Idaho and two grandchildren.
Cremation was in San Francisco.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
