Obituary: David A. Courtney

David A. Courtney, 67, a Carson City resident for 31 years, died September 20, 2000. He was born and raised in Fullerton, Calif.

In his youth he was active in the First Christian Church. He graduated from Fullerton College with an Associates degree.

Mr. Courney retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. after 27 years of service. He was also active in and past president of the Carson City Lions Club.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Mae Courtney.

Among his survivors are his son Ronald David of Reno; daughter Theresa Louise Andersen and grandson, Lance Edward Courtney, both of Sonoma County, Calif.; brother Doug of San Antonio, Texas and nephew John Courtney of Neosho, Mo.
