Gertrude Crippen, 88, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died Sept. 18, 2000 in Carson City. She was born Dec. 14, 1911, in Murdoc, S.D.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Southern California.
Mrs. Crippen was an inspector and lead person in the aircraft industry. She was a past president of the Senior Citizens of Yorba Linda and a member of the United Methodist Church of Yorba Linda and a past church secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Thomas Phillip in December 1970 and son Elliot Dale in 1994.
Among her survivors are her son Thomas C. of Palm Desert, Calif. and daughter Barbara Jean Griffith of Minden.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
