A memorial service for Henry Guy L'Orange, 80, a Carson City resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foothills United Methodist Church, 3301 Green Valley Road, Rescue, Calif.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Vernon Mortuary and Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, Calif.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Mount Vernon Mortuary.
Mr. L'Orange, 80, a Carson City resident, died Sept. 11, 2000 in Reno. He was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Quincy, Fla.
Mr. L'Orange retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty.
Among his survivors are his children H. Christian and wife Cindy and Cheri L'Orange-Etheredge and husband Robert; grandchildren Kirsten L'Orange, Parker L'Orange Etheredge and Kelsey Etheredge and his longtime companion Lucy Beninger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foothills United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, No. 115, Sacramento, CA 95815.
