James Harold Geurts, 75, a Nevada resident for the past 26 years, most recently of Silver Springs, died Sept. 30, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Rosholt, S.D., to Peter and Rose Odderman Geurts.
Before moving to Nevada, he lived in California.
Mr. Geurts was a pipefitter. He was a gentleman farmer and loved to hunt and fish. He was a Roman Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Glen, Clarence, Ray, Joe, Bob and Larry; sister Rosemarie and son Dr. James Geurts.
Among his survivors are his wife Pearl and son James, both of Silver Springs; daughter Evelyn Urseth of Buffalo Lake, Minn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Interment will be at a later date in Minnesota.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
